Being a freelancer provides the flexibility and satisfaction that may be lacking in a full-time job. But being self-employed also means being one-man band doing business development, human resources, accounting, marketing… all on top of your specialized creative skills.
According to a 2018 Payoneer survey of 21,000 freelancers, their top concerns are how to increase their income (68% of surveyed individuals) and ways to find clients and work (52%). Without formal training in all aspects of running a business, we are left to fend for ourselves on unfamiliar ground.
During this workshop, we will work through the biggest struggles of the class with lively discussions. A pre-workshop survey will be sent out to collect your input, so that the discussions will be best suited to your needs.
There will also be time for networking to encourage collaboration among different freelance creatives. Come and meet your fellow creatives to build your community. You’re not alone!
